Offering Exceptional Training

Articulate offers a wide range of classes (including Drama, Screen Acting, Public Speaking, Performing Arts, Accent Coaching and LAMDA Drama) across Yorkshire and online to the whole of the UK.

  • What classes are available?

Screen Acting – Covering Drama, Improvisation, Script Work for TV and Film, Monologues, Camera Work, Audition Technique, Self Tapes, Theatre In Education (TIE) and Acting Technique.

Performing Arts – This high -energy class teaches both Musical Theatre Dance and Singing (often at the same time)! Students cover Vocal Technique, Harmony / Group Singing, Confidence Building, Solo Performances, Flexibility, Dance Technique, Ensemble Dance and Audition Skills.

LAMDA Public Speaking – This class teaches the art of commanding and engaging an audience when public speaking, via techniques such as vocal projection, expression, pace, clarity, emphasis, pause, reflection, modulation, pronunciation and posture. Public Speaking is beneficial in almost all sectors and students gain prestigious qualifications which actually work as UCAS points for university.

LAMDA Drama – This class teaches drama at a qualification level. It is often taken as an additional class to our Screen Acting class and as a means to develop general acting skills. Students work on characterisation, expression, emphasis and many detailed acting techniques, via set pieces from plays / screen. . Certain grades of LAMDA examination offer students UCAS points, which are extremely valuable when applying to colleges and universities.

1-1 Singing – we feel it is very important to let the student lead the way with 1-1 singing; we understand that different students have different goals in terms of singing and do everything we can to allow students (especially those older students) to select their own choice songs / genres. Singing Lessons may include: Vocal Warm-Up, Riffing, Improvisation, Interpretation, Pop Singing, Jazz Singing, Microphone Technique, Studio Work and Musical Theatre. Students can work towards examinations..

1-1 Screen Acting – Similar to our face-to-face screen acting classes, our 1-1 sessions allow students to have more focused time with their drama teacher. Classes cover Drama, Improvisation, Script Work for TV and Film, Monologues, Camera Work, Audition Technique, Self Tapes, and Acting Technique.
