Date: Sunday 27th April
**Please note that this workshop is not open to everyone, only those with an invite to book can do so**
We are so excited to let you know that we are working closely with award-winning actress Katherine Kelly (The Long Shadow, Mr Bates vs the Post Office, The Crow Girl, Gentleman Jack, Happy Valley) and actor Tony Pitts (All Creatures Great & Small, Line of Duty, Peaky Blinders).
They will both be visiting the Articulate Agency to deliver an exclusive workshop on Sunday 27th April 2025, and working exclusively with our agency -represented actors.
The pair are writing a lot of their own material, often set in the North, and last year filmed a pilot for a comedy set in Wakefield, featuring two Young Performers from Articulate. Tony also wrote the very successful Funny Cow, starring Maxine Peake.
The workshop will be held at Yorkshire Dance, in Leeds, and will be structured as:
Teens (Ages 12-16 - we will accept a small number of very experienced 10-11 year olds, if you're getting this email, you're suitable)): 12noon - 2pm
Young Performers / Adults (ages 17+ (or those over licensing age)): 2.30pm - 4.30pm
The workshop will cover:
Introductions
Script Work & Feedback - Scripts from hard-hitting drama and a comedy option
A Talk on Realities of the Industry - "Things Nobody Teaches You when You're Starting Out"
Q & A - a chance to ask questions about the industry / tips / etc. for 30 mins - we hope this ignites some deep conversation and discussion.
It is a great opportunity to build connections, learn, develop skills and act on your feedback.
