Articulate’s Iyla McKaig (15) landed a role as new series regular Usma last year and had an amazing time filming in Wales for 4 months over the summer. Finally, series 7 of CBBC’s Jamie Johnson is coming out, and we’re so proud of her!

The children’s drama is back for series 7, following the life of the titular Jamie and his classmates as he works through secondary school and tries to become a football star. Iyla works super hard and absolutely thrives in the filming environment. Moving away from home for 4 months is a big thing for a 14 year old but we’re so pleased that Iyla has managed it so well. She is such a talented actress and is going on to great things – her first Articulate role was a few episodes of Emmerdale when she first started with us.
