Adolescence Takes the Spotlight: A Huge Success for Our Talent and Supporting Artists Team!

We’re thrilled to announce that Adolescence is out now, and it’s been getting amazing reviews! It’s a show that tackles the complexities of growing up, and we couldn’t be prouder to see so many of our talented clients involved.

Articulate Young Performer, Austin Haynes, shines in a key role, along with Amelie Pease and Fatima Bojang, for whom Articulate secured roles. We’re also excited to mention Lewis Pemberton, who plays Tommy in the series. He secured the role before joining our agency, and we’re thrilled to now represent him.

However, Adolescence isn’t just a triumph for the main cast, it’s also been a major win for our Supporting Artists (SA) team! With many scenes set in a school, the series needed a large number of children to appear as background artists, and that’s where our incredible Hue Drinkwater, our Child SA Booker, truly excelled.

Hue worked tirelessly to secure over 100 child supporting artists for the show, as well as more than 40 chaperones. It’s no small feat, especially considering the nature of how Adolescence is shot, with complex techniques and a high demand for authenticity in its scenes.

Hue shared some of his experiences with us: “The absolute highlight for me was the flood of amazing emails I got on the last day of filming from parents. They were sharing how much the kids had learned from the experience, and honestly, it felt like every single one of them had an unforgettable time on set! It was such a heartwarming reminder of why we do what we do!”

We also asked Hue how he ensures every child feels comfortable and supported on set, especially with so many involved. He said: “At Articulate, we’re all about open communication and being approachable. For every SA booked on Adolescence, I make sure parents know they can always reach out to me if they have any questions or concerns about their child’s needs. And when it comes to our on-set chaperones? They’re absolute rockstars! I trust them completely to ensure that every kid they look after is having the time of their life while filming!”

When comparing Adolescence to other projects, Hue said: “Adolescence was a whirlwind of high demand and a tight timeline, especially with over 100 kids to manage! Getting them all in the same place at the right time, and making sure every safeguarding document was checked thoroughly, took a lot of coordination and time. The parents were absolutely brilliant, dedicating so much time and effort to ensure their kids were where they needed to be, when they needed to be there.”

We want to give a huge shout-out to Hue for this amazing achievement. His dedication and skill have made this project a real success behind the scenes, and the show simply wouldn’t be the same without the work of our SAs.
