Iyla Mckaig, a long-standing student of Articulate, will soon be joining the cast of ITV’s Emmerdale, one of Britain’s best loved northern soap operas. Emmerdale follows the lives of those who dwell in and around the Yorkshire village of Emmerdale, how they deal with the trials and tribulations of rural life and interwoven into a rich fabric of personnel relationships. The show began airing on the 16th of October 1972.
Iyla will initially feature in two episodes of the show as teen bully ‘Anabel’ and will film both at the village in north Leeds as well as at the main Emmerdale studio. Iyla, who is soon to also shoot series 7 of popular CBBC series Jamie Johnson as a new regular, is very excited to take up a role in such a storied and long running production as Emmerdale.
