Austin Haynes (15) had a great time filming for the new action thriller Jackdaw, in a small role that really shows off his brilliant accent work.

Jackdaw was written and directed by Jamie Childs – originally premiering in September 2023 at Fantastic Fest, the thriller follows Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Jack Dawson (nicknamed ‘Jackdaw’) and Jenna Coleman as Bo, and it is set entirely over the course of one night. 

He shot his scenes in Newcastle back in December 2022, and since then has been very busy! He filmed for the BBC comedy series The Power of Parker in a cast role as Ryan, then landed a role in another BBC series The Responder. For that one he filmed in Liverpool, again demonstrating his knack for accents. Boys in the Boat, directed and produced by George Clooney, premiered on the 12th of January and featured Austin in a cast role.
