Billy Hickey has made us very proud, landing his fourth cast role in the beloved Yorkshire-set All Creatures Great and Small. He will be playing the guest lead in an episode of the next series.
Billy (13) has been on a roll, appearing in CBBC’s Princess Mirror-Belle Series 2 as the bully Stephen, Sky’s A Christmas Carole as Josh, and has been cast as a lead character in the upcoming CBBC movie So Awkward: Kids Camp. He’s also done plenty of supporting artist work, such as appearances in BBC’s Gentleman Jack and Floodlights, and Channel 4’s Ackley Bridge.
Billy secured the role after attending an in-person audition, where he blew everyone away with his unique interpretation of the character. He will start filming on the iconic Channel 5 series soon; he’s actually the second Articulate performer who has landed a guest lead role in All Creatures, as Austin Haynes also starred in Series 3 as Andrew Simmonds!
His character is a vulnerable young lad who James Herriot guides through a troubling situation. He’s a fantastic young actor so we know he’ll smash it, and we can’t wait to see him on our screens later this year!
