Billy Hickey (14) has been cast in upcoming Netflix spy drama Black Doves.

Black Doves is a six-part series created and written by Joe Barton, and it stars Keira Knightley, Ben Wishaw and Sarah Lancashire – it’s set to be a huge event when it premieres on Netflix. The official synopsis describes the series: Set in London at Christmas, we follow professional spy Helen (Keira Knightley) and suave assassin Sam (Ben Wishaw) as they set off on a murder investigation. 

Billy was cast in his role a few months ago, when the project was still very confidential – he is set to film in a few weeks, and we hope he has a wonderful time on set alongside these amazing actors. 

Since joining Articulate, Billy has had some wonderful opportunities to show off his acting talent – he landed the lead character Conan in CBBC’s So Awkward: Kids Camp movie, which lead to him filming for the next series of the show. He also got to star as guest lead Wesley Binks in an episode of All Creatures Great and Small last year. 

A release date has not been revealed yet, but Netflix has confirmed that Black Doves will premiere later this year!
