14-year-old Chiamaka Ulebor has been cast as series regular Shola Aku in the upcoming series of Waterloo Road.

The BBC drama is being revived after it was cancelled in 2015, with returning cast members such as Adam Thomas, Katie Griffiths and Angela Griffin, plus a lot of new faces like Kym Marsh, Rachel Leskovac, Sonia Ibrahim and Vincent Jerome. The series portrays the lives of both teachers and pupils in a Manchester secondary school.

This series is famous for launching the careers of many young actors, so this is a fantastic opportunity for ChiChi, who has been attending our screen acting classes for several years and has previous acting experience from BBC’s Sherwood, Class Dismissed and All Creatures Great and Small.

The new series of Waterloo Road is set to come to our screens in early 2023.
